Ashley Pharoah

Co-creator and writer of the 2006/2007 hit TV series Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes, Ashley started his TV writing career on EastEnders after studying at the NFTS. Now one of our best-established TV writers, Ashley originated the long-running series Where the Heart Is; Down to Earth and Wild at Heart, and has scripted episodes of Hustle, Silent Witness and Casualty, among others. Other work includes adaptations of Tom Brown’s Schooldays (starring Stephen Fry) and Under the Greenwood Tree, and the 2008 TV series Bonekickers, which is now being remade in the US.
