Lloyd Phillips
Lloyd’s latest producing credit is the Anthony Banderas-Catherine Zeta Jones swashbuckler The Legend of Zorro. After launching his career with the Oscar-winning short film The Dollar Bottom, Lloyd produced a few features in New Zealand and the US. His career really took off in 1994, when he got the chance to co-produce Terry Gilliam’s Oscar-nominated Twelve Monkeys. He has since gone on to produce The Edge - featuring Anthony Hopkins - Vertical Limit (with director and fellow New Zealander Martin Campbell), Beyond Borders, starring Angelina Jolie and Racing Stripes, whose cast includes Dustin Hoffman and Whoopi Goldberg.
Lloyd has two producing projects for us to look forward to in the near future – Have Mercy, with Kathy Bates and Melanie Griffith, and the recently announced environmental thriller The Monkey Wrench Gang.
