Agnieszka Liggett
Leverhulme Trust Scholar 2003-2004
I was born in Poland and have lived in England since 1995. From 1991-95, I studied Drama at PWSTviT, the National Polish Film, Television & Theatre School in Łodz in Poland. In 1997, while doing a 16mm filmmaking course at London-based Four Corners Workshop, which explored all aspects of film production, I got particularly interested in editing.
I went on to work as an assistant editor on various television drama series, including Other People's Children (four one-hour episodes), Home Farm Twins (thirteen half-hour episodes) and Emma Brody (five one-hour episodes,) and a feature film Extreme Ops! During this time I also worked as an editor on some corporate films, a short documentary and three short dramas.
In January 2003, I enrolled on the two-year editing course at the NFTS. I feel that the variety of work I have encountered at the school is helping me to be more versatile and creative editor.
Films at the NFTS include...
