After university, I spent a year as a runner at BBC Drama Production and later, while at the NFTS, worked as a script reader for BBC Continuing Drama, BBC Writersroom and Theatre 503 in Battersea.

Perhaps because I grew up in an Army family, my characters tend to conflict with authority or place in some way. I’m interested in quirky outsiders but also drawn to the regimented and duty-driven. At the NFTS I’ve written the first episode of an original TV Drama series, Courage, about the nailbiting rescues of an RNLI crew. I’ve also completed two feature screenplays, Liberty, a crime drama set in a Canarian prison, and Greed and Gold, a dark love story between two women. I am also developing a period TV drama charting the dramatic young life of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

I also co-wrote the graduation film Park Close with directing student Maj-Britt La Cour and my ten-minute black comedy, Mr Edwards, was performed at Soho Theatre as part of the NFTS New Theatre Writing Showcase.

Films at the NFTS include...

Park Close
Courage, Ep1 (Original TV Drama Series)
Liberty (Feature Film)
Greed and Gold (Feature Film)
Brunel (TV Single Drama)
Mr Edwards (Short Play)
