My interest in sound recording and production sound developed when I first heard quadraphonic sound in the cinema and listened to innovative multi-track music recordings. A love also for recorded dialogue in radio, film, documentary, TV and stand-up comedy led to an appreciation of and a desire to specialise in the art of sound recording.

After university, I worked as a sound assistant in the live music and events industry and then as a sound recordist and boom operator on corporate and commercial projects, including documentaries. I came to the NFTS to gain more specialist knowledge in the technical and creative aspects of acquiring sound for film and TV, both on location and in the studio.

While at the School I collaborated as a sound mixer and boom operator on a variety of projects including graduation fiction films and TV shows, a graduation documentary and two Kodak commercials. I look forward to building on what I have learnt at the NFTS, in the commercial world of filmmaking, and production sound.

Films at the NFTS include...

Emma and Ben
The Next Big Thing (2009)
The Orchard
TV or Not TV(2009)
