James Broome
James joined the NFTS after a successful career with Bose UK Ltd, manufacturers of home and professional audio systems. Despite his youth, he soon became a product and technologies training manager at the company’s first European flagship store on Regent Street. Having developed a firm understanding of sound reproduction, he decided to trade speakers for microphones and joined the NFTS Sound Recording course.
During his time at the School, he acquired a wealth of new skills and knowledge in the field of location and studio recording, preparing him for a variety of roles within the industry. He is graduating with five projects - Park Close, Blackwater, Not Safe for Work, Agent X and The Orchard, and has worked as a recordist and boom operator on many others over the last two years.
As well as production sound, James has developed a keen interest in sound post production and has worked as sound designer on two NFTS projects, including the graduation TV show Not Safe for Work.
