Maj-Britt La Cour

Maj-Britt Maria La Cour is Danish in origin. She studied filmmaking at The European Film College in 2004/2005 under Esben Carlsen, the former Head of Fiction Direction at the Danish National Film School. Here she discovered a flair for fiction direction.

Before coming to the NFTS she directed a number of short films to develop her light humorous style of everyday-magical film language. This gave her access to work in the Danish film industry on shorts, music videos, features and commercials amongst others on Nordic Film. To expand her skills she went to the Copenhagen Film and Photo School where she gained more experience as producer, AD and director. This finally led her to the NFTS.

Maj-Britt is interested in stories about characters outside the community fighting with misunderstandings and their own inhibitions.
