Stuart Earl
Alan Hawkshaw Foundation & the PRS Foundation Scholar 2007-2008
I have been involved with performing and creating music since an early age, gaining a great deal of experience in composing, arranging and performing. I studied music at Oxford University and won the Smith Award for “outstanding contribution to music.” I then went on to study a MA in Post Production, specialising in composing, at Bournemouth University.
As a composer I draw from my strong interest in a broad range of different musical styles and genres. I have written music for short films, animations, documentaries, television commercials, idents, and art installations. Previous clients have included Prada, Oxfam, Euro Millions, The Red Cross and Lionel Messi.
My time at the NFTS has given me a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with many talented filmmakers and develop as a composer. I feel it has put me in a unique position in preparing me for the industry and I am looking forward to pursuing my career.
