After taking a degree in Composition and Classical Guitar in Barcelona I moved to London to pursue a career as a composer. While studying for an MA in Contemporary Composition at Goldsmiths College, I started writing music for performance artists and contemporary dance and theatre productions. This collaboration with cross-disciplinary artists led me to composing for film.
In 2004, composer Michael Finnissy became my mentor, gaining me great experience in contemporary composition and arrangement. For three years I was a shortlisted composer by SPNM, in which time I was commissioned by renowned contemporary ensembles like New Noise and Elysian Quartet.
I have recently composed for the BBC short film, Small Dark Places, broadcast on BBC 3 and BBC-HD, and worked with digital artist Miguel Andres Clavera on a film project for the International Expo Zaragoza 08.
At NFTS I have gained experience by working on many different kinds of films, giving me a greater flexibility as a composer. After graduating, I wish to work as a professional film composer and arranger.
