After escaping the rat race that was the West Country in the early 1990’s, I trained as an actor at East 15 Acting School. As a strong method acting school it was very challenging and character-building, but thankfully for me I was never tied naked to a tree in Epping Forest to learn my craft – I don’t think I missed out! During my acting career I have performed in numerous stage tours and small TV roles culminating in a run in the West End’s Mousetrap.
Whilst auditioning I became aware that TV programming and writing was losing some of the adventurous bite and fun it once had. So after 13 years of working in front of camera and on stage I embarked on getting all the skills I needed to make a splash behind the camera.
TV or Not TV? Is my take on what TV sketch comedy is missing…. bite! I hope to be able to put more comical bite back on our screens and make shows that challenge us, at the same time as making us laugh.
