Leigh Alner
Kodak Scholar 2007-2008
Leigh started in film at the Reading College of Art and Design where he received a First Class BA in Video Production. While studying, he also worked on various short films in a variety of roles to understand the fundamentals of film and video production.
After graduating, Leigh worked on further shorts and feature films in the electrical department, as well as teaching video production skills on a freelance basis to children and young adults.
Leigh’s experience at the School has been a great one: he has been able to develop and hone his skills as a cinematographer under the guidance of the tutors and through working on various films. He now hopes to carry on developing his cinematography skills by continuing to make documentaries, music promos, commercials and short films. He also hopes to continue teaching young people the skills of filmmaking and pass on some of the knowledge he has learnt at the NFTS.
