THE SCHOOL

Hugh Welchman

Hugh teamed up with fellow student and director Alicia Duffy, to produce the highly acclaimed NFTS short film Crowstone (Best Short Film, Edinburgh International Film Festival 2001) and the Independent short The Most Beautiful Man In The World (Nominated for a BAFTA and Cannes Golden Palm award and winner of the TCM Prize at the London International Film Festival in 2003).

Hugh has since produced the Oscar-winning animation Peter And The Wolf (co-written by NFTS graduate Marianela Maldonado), and associate-produced the animated feature Free Jimmy, featuring the voices of Woody Harrelson and Simon Pegg.
