Pedro Pinto
After studying Creative Media Arts in Amsterdam, Pedro was invited to lecture at The.Edge - an Autodesk Training Centre in Lisbon. Simultaneously he designed and directed several short films and music videos. In 2005, his work was recognised with the Award for Best Music Video at the Portuguese Cinema and Video Festival, FEST.
Pedro moved to London and enrolled at the NFTS to expand his knowledge and understanding of visual effects and filmmaking. He directed and supervised a number of films using a broad range of techniques such as 3D animation, motion control, motion capture, miniatures, wirework and green screen. During this time he developed valuable problem-solving skills and had the opportunity to meet and work with some very talented people.
In the future Pedro hopes to specialize in 3D animation for commercials and feature films, and further develop his career as a Visual Effects Supervisor. He is currently completing a long-term freelance contract at The Picture Production Company in Soho.
