Fiona DeSouza
David Lean Foundation Scholar 2005-2006
Fiona DeSouza graduated in 2000 with a BA in Communications and Audio Visual Productions. She then worked as an Assistant Editor for four years. She has assisted on Night and Day and Bad Girls for ITV, Judge John Deed for the BBC and 40 for Channel 4. She has also assisted on the feature films Innocence, directed by Lucile Hadzihalilovic and Mrs Henderson Presents, directed by Stephen Frears. In her spare time, Fiona cut documentary featurettes for DVD extras, dance films, showreels, and filmed and edited live gigs.
Fiona came to the NFTS to develop her storytelling skills and to focus on the craft of editing. She recently achieved her first broadcast credit as editor of the Kiss Me music video shown as part of the Robbie Williams Shorts on Channel 4 in December 2006. She is keen to begin her career as an editor in television drama and feature films.
