Liam Iandoli

David Lean Foundation Scholar 2005-2006

Whilst studying Film and Video at University in Kent, I honed my skills as a photographer in my spare time and subsequently became interested in cinematography. Before gaining a place at the NFTS, I worked closely with artists Clio Barnard on Road Race and Adam Chodsko on Design for a Carnival, which gave me a good insight into the world of video installation.

Studying at the NFTS has given me the experience and confidence needed to go out and work on multiple formats including 35mm, 16mm and Digital, using various techniques, such as green screen, motion control and stop frame. I have really enjoyed working with many creative and talented people at the School and hope to continue to do so in the near future. I am predominantly interested in drama but also have valuable experience working in different fields such as animation, documentary, music videos and commercials.
