Peter studied composition with Malcolm Lipkin from 1993 and in 1995 was offered a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, to study with Simon Bainbridge.
While at Guildhall, Peter took up conducting and has since directed a number of concerts with repertoires ranging from Mozart to Stravinsky. His own music has been performed at the Wigmore Hall and the National Portrait Gallery, while a collaboration with the choreographer Clare Parker was premiered at The Place, in London. His latest stage work, a children's musical called The Rocket Scrapyard, is scheduled for performance later this year.
Peter's work at the NFTS has encompassed a wide range of films and he has been selected to take part in the Talent Campus at this year's Berlin Film Festival.
