Tony Collingwood
After making his first film, the BAFTA-nominated Rarg, at the NFTS, Tony got together with fellow NFTS graduate Christopher O’Hare to set up Collingwood O’Hare Entertainment, now one of Europe’s leading animation studios.
The director of all of Collingwood O'Hare's children's programmes, Tony devised many of the original formats and contributes to the writing of individual episodes. He is the creator of some of television’s most successful animation programmes for children including BAFTA-winners Animal Stories and Eddy and the Bear.
Other award-winning series from Collingwood O’Hare are Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto!, the adventures of a bird, an armadillo and a monkey, the Beano-inspired Dennis & Gnasher, Oscar’s Orchestra, Doctor Seuss’s Daisy-Head Mayzie, narrated by the Cat in the Hat and Gordon the Garden Gnome, featuring the voice of Alan Titchmarsh. Collingwood O'Hare's latest animation to appear on television is The Secret Show, a cool comedy spy adventure for kids, airing saturday mornings during BBC2's saturday morning show TMI.
