Synopsis
Set in 1975, The Illiterate is the story of Fidel, a dyslexic ten-year-old growing up in a hippy commune, and his introduction to the power of the written word and the complexities of adult sexuality. Combining live action, animation and fantasy sequences the film offers a window into the dark imagination of one young boy and his unusual vision of the world.
This film was made under the School's Project Development Labs programme, which concluded in December 2004.
